What You’ll Do
As a Tridium Niagara Programmer, you’ll design, program, and support building automation systems for commercial and industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and configure Niagara Framework applications (AX/N4) to meet project specifications
Integrate third-party systems (HVAC, lighting, energy meters, access control) using BACnet, Modbus, and LON
Create intuitive, user-friendly dashboards and graphical interfaces
Perform on-site or remote commissioning, testing, and validation
Troubleshoot and resolve software, network, and integration issues
Maintain accurate project documentation including system architecture and programming logic
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field technicians
Ensure compliance with industry standards and cybersecurity best practices
Support system upgrades, patching, and ongoing maintenance
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience programming and configuring Tridium Niagara (AX/N4) systems
Tridium Niagara N4 Certification preferred but not required
Johnson Controls Facility Explorer and CCT experience is a plus
Strong understanding of building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC control sequences
Proficient in BACnet, Modbus, LON, and other standard communication protocols
Experience with system integration of third-party devices and platforms
Ability to develop custom graphics, dashboards, and user interfaces
Skilled in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and system commissioning
Familiarity with networking fundamentals (IP addressing, routers, switches, firewalls)
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics
Strong documentation and communication skills
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and commute to Millstone Township, NJ
Work Environment
On-Site Role: This position is based at our office in Millstone Township, NJ. We believe in real-time collaboration and team synergy—this is not a remote or hybrid role.
Office-Based with Occasional Field Work: Most work is in-office, with occasional site visits for commissioning or support.
Collaborative Culture: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and technicians in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Standard Hours: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts. 8am-4:30pm, No weekend work.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
