Mid-Atlantic Service 360 is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join our team. This is an in-person position ideal for individuals with a strong background in estimating HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial and industrial projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Review plans, specifications, and technical documents, including CAD drawings, sketches, and submittals, to develop accurate project estimates.

• Perform detailed take-offs for HVAC systems, including piping, sheet metal, chilled water systems, boiler plants, rooftop equipment, and other mechanical components.

• Prepare cost estimates for design-build, design-assist, and plan/spec construction projects up to $5 million.

• Attend pre-bid meetings and evaluate project opportunities to determine scope and bid strategy.

• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids and vendor quotes for completeness and compliance.

• Provide value engineering recommendations and detailed scope of work narratives.

• Collaborate with project management teams to integrate best practices and feedback into estimates.

• Maintain and build relationships with clients, general contractors, vendors, and suppliers.

• Use estimating software to ensure accuracy and efficiency in developing project costs.

• Develop proposals and ensure estimates align with project goals and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in HVAC/mechanical estimating, including a strong understanding of design-build and hard-bid environments.

• Familiarity with mechanical systems such as VAV, VRF, chilled water, steam, and boiler systems.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and estimating software.

• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and adapt to flexible responsibilities.
